Entry Level Corrections Officer with the Pacific County Sheriff’s Office

Notice is hereby given that the Pacific County Civil Service Commission is opening the established eligibility list for Entry Level Corrections Officer with the Pacific County Sheriff’s Office.  Applications for examination will be accepted by the Civil Service Examiner until February 17th, 2017 at 4:00pm.  The salary range for Corrections Officer is $3,073 – $3,743. Duties Include:• Booking prisoners,• Releasing prisoners,• Assisting in feeding prisoners,• Disciplining prisoners for violation of jail rules,• Supervising prisoner cell movement, recreation activities, chapel, special call-outs, etc.,• Transporting prisoners,• Completing reports, forms, etc.,All duties are performed in accordance with state law and departmental policies and procedures.  Employees work with offenders in a potentially hazardous setting.  Please consider this when deciding whether or not to apply. 2018 BAH Rates for JBLM

JBLM BAH (Basic Allowance for Housing) Rates for 2018! Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH) is a tax-free monthly monetary allowance for service members who are not provided housing by the government.Current BAH rates for service members stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) have increased from 2017.  Get to know some of the local cities that surround the base and make sure to order your Relocation guide today!

PCS’ing to Joint Base Lewis-McChord!
Getting familiar with the Cities that surround the base will start the process! The cities south of JBLM are Lacey, Olympia and Tumwater. Cities north of the Base, include Lakewood, Tacoma and Kent. East of the Base are the cities of Spanaway, Graham, Puyallup and Yelm. There are 23+ cities that surround the Base, all of which have housing areas that may be appealing to you! Researching these areas prior to your arrival will help with you PCS move to JBLM.
