Gig Harbor has several parks located around the bay:  Jerisich Park and Skansie Brothers Park are large, open, waterfront space with grass, decks, benches, and a covered Pavilion for community events. It is also home to the Fisherman Memorial. The parks are host to fairs and events ranging from the annual Holiday tree lighting ceremony, summer concerts and art festivals. There is also a public use moorage dock where boaters can stay, free of charge, for a limited time.  Gig Harbor City Park offers a variety of activities for families and friend.  There is also a children's play. The park has a baseball diamond, a basketball court as well as tennis courts.  This park offers classes in conservation.  This park is very popular because of the variety of accommodations available to visitors.
