Gig Harbor has several parks located around the bay including: Jerisich Park and Skansie Brothers Park. These parks are large, open, waterfront space with grass, decks, benches and a covered Pavilion for community events. It is also home to the Fisherman Memorial. The parks are host to fairs and events ranging from the annual holiday tree lighting ceremony, summer concerts and art festivals. There is also a public use moorage dock where boaters can stay, free of charge, for a limited time.  The Gig Harbor City Park also offers a variety of activities for families and friend, along with a children’s playground. The park has a baseball diamond, a basketball court as well as tennis courts.  And if that was not enough this park also offers classes to the community, one class in particular is a conversation.  The variety of accommodations available to residents and visitors makes this park very popular.
